Dr Trouw

Dr Trouw studied Medicine at the University of Pretoria and qualified as a gynecologist in 1994. He decided to remain at the university for a further two years, where he worked in the infertility clinic. Dr Trouw completed infertility & endoscopic training in Leuven, Belgium as well as in Copenhagen, Demark.

His passion for reproductive medicine ignited early on in his training. Dr Trouw has never stopped learning about the fertility field and becomes truly excited about new developments and research in the fertility field.

He is associated with the university and is the academic head of the reproductive unit at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, actively involved in training reproductive medicine specialists. Dr Trouw is regularly requested to act as speaker at congresses and other academic gatherings nationally and internationally.

Dr Anneen Venter

She obtained her MBChB with distinction in 2008 at the University of Pretoria, whereafter she worked at Tembisa hospital for her internship and community service from 2009 to 2011.

She commenced registrarship in 2012 at the University of Pretoria. The College of Medicine awarded her with both the GP Charlewood Medal for the highest achievement in Part 1 of the FCOG 2011 examination and the Daubenton Medal for the highest achievement during Part 2 of the 2015 FCOG examination. She completed her MMed (O&G) in April 2016 with distinction.

Dr Venter is currently registered for a fellowship in reproductive medicine. She has a passion for infertility, endocrinology and laparoscopic surgery and will consult patients with gynaecological, obstetric and infertility needs. On a personal note, she is married with a pigeon pair of toddler twins. She cherishes spending time with her family, travelling and creative arts.

Dr Martine Dehandschutter

Dr Martine Dehandschutter is an associated gynecologist at our fertility centre since 2008, she specialised as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Belgium in 1999. She started her private practice in
obstetrics and gynecology with a special interest in infertility in the same year. She speaks several languages, including French and Spanish, and has two children.
