Who we are
PTA Fertility Centre is a SASREG-accredited fertility clinic at Suite M19, Netcare Pretoria East Hospital, Cnr Garsfontein & Netcare Rd, Moreleta Park, Pretoria. For anything in this policy, contact us at info@ptafertility.co.za or +27 12 998 8854.
What we collect
Through this website we collect only what you choose to give us: your name and contact details when you book an appointment or contact us, and — if you join the Priority Circle — your preferred contact channel and where you are in your fertility journey. Appointment requests may include the treatment area you are interested in. After an appointment request you may also choose to tell us about your fertility journey: how long you have been trying, previous fertility treatment, pregnancies, miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies, children, previous tests, your age and your partner’s, and any health conditions, medication, surgery or family history your specialist should know about. All of it is optional. It is stored with your appointment request and emailed to our reception team, a copy is emailed to the address you gave us, and it is not copied to anyone else.
Health information & POPIA
Information about your health and fertility journey is special personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We process it only with your consent, only for the purpose you gave it to us, and we treat it with the same confidentiality as your clinical records. We comply with POPIA in full, and clinical information shared in consultations is governed by medical confidentiality over and above this policy.
The Priority Circle
Joining the Priority Circle is entirely optional and consent-based. Members receive one monthly message — by email — with fertility insights from our specialists and early access to new appointment slots. You can leave at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, and you will be removed immediately. Joining never creates any obligation to book or undergo treatment.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry or appointment request.
- To send Priority Circle members the monthly insight they signed up for.
- To improve our website and services, using anonymised, aggregated data only.
We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone for their marketing.
Who helps us run this website
We do not run this website ourselves. Bright10 (8T20 Capital (Pty) Ltd, a South African company) builds and operates it for us as our operator under POPIA, and is bound by an agreement to process your information only on our instructions and to keep it confidential.
When you send an appointment request, an enquiry or a Priority Circle sign-up through this site, it is submitted to Bright10, recorded there, and emailed to our reception team. A copy of that notification also reaches Bright10, which is how the forms are kept working. The record is stored on managed database infrastructure located in the European Union, and the notification email is delivered by an email service provider — so your information does leave South Africa in the course of reaching us. POPIA permits this where the receiving party is bound to a comparable standard of protection, which is the basis of our agreement with Bright10.
You never have to use these forms. If you would rather not, call us on +27 12 998 8854 or email info@ptafertility.co.za and we will take your details directly.
Website analytics, error monitoring & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google) to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, on what kind of device, and roughly where in the world visitors are. It sets cookies beginning _ga in your browser. We look at this only in aggregate: it tells us nothing about who you are, and nothing you type into a form is ever sent to Google. You can switch it off with your browser's cookie settings or Google's own opt-out add-on.
We also use Sentry to tell us when a page on this site breaks — it records the technical detail of the error and the address of the page it happened on, so we can fix it. It is not used to track you, and the content of forms is never included.
Beyond these, this site sets no advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
Security & retention
Your information is stored securely, access is limited to our clinic team and to our website operator where they need it to keep the site running, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it — or as required by law for clinical records. If you leave the Priority Circle, your subscription details are deleted. The optional details you give about your fertility journey are deleted from the website’s own records 30 days after you send them; your clinic record is kept by the practice.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email info@ptafertility.co.za and we will act on it promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) — inforegulator.org.za.
